Afri WISE Impact Hub is a nonprofit empowering women and marginalized communities across Africa through skills development, climate action, sustainability, and technology driven innovation.
Afri WISE Impact Hub (African Women in Sustainability and Empowerment) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and marginalized communities including those in slums and refugee settlement camps across Africa through skills development, climate action, sustainability, and technology driven innovation.
We believe that Africa's progress depends on empowering women and youth to become change makers who drive environmental responsibility, social equality, and economic resilience.
Afri WISE was born out of lived experience. Growing up in and around Palabek Refugee Settlement in Lamwo District, Northern Uganda, witnessing the cycle of over dependence on foreign aid, chronic food insecurity, unpredictable rainfall patterns, and prolonged droughts that left families, particularly women and children, the most vulnerable.
Founded in 2024 with a clear conviction: that the women and youth inside these communities hold the knowledge, strength, and capacity to lead their own transformation, they simply need the tools, training, and platforms to do so. Afri WISE bridges that gap, combining climate smart approaches, women's empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods to build communities that are not just surviving, but thriving on their own terms.
A thriving Africa where women and youth lead transformation, building sustainable, inclusive, and tech driven communities that inspire progress and equity for future generations.
Weaving environmental stewardship into everything we do, ensuring our programs create lasting change for people and planet.
Unlocking the potential of women and youth to lead, create, and transform their communities from within.
Designing creative, context sensitive solutions that address the real challenges facing women and communities on the frontlines of climate change.
Ensuring no one is left behind refugees, girls, rural women, and youth are at the centre of our work, not the margins.
Operating with transparency, accountability, and honesty in all our relationships with communities, partners, and donors.
